I love Christmas, it is the second best holiday of the year in my opinion (Thanksgiving is number 1 in my books…family and great food without the pressure of gifts). This year we mixed things up a bit which was nice. Christmas at my mother in laws place and then boxing day at my parents. It was really nice just getting to spend the whole day in one place instead of running around.
Santa was really good to us, as was our family and friends. I was fortunate enough to get a few camera upgrades and a new monitor (no longer blogging/editing photos using the livingroom tv which is nice for a whole lot of reasons). My son really really wanted a garbage truck and was SOOO excited when he got 2 AND a monster truck AND a logging truck. My daughter unfortunately came down with the flu and was running a crazy fever the whole time. She was refusing to eat or drink and pretty much only wanted to snuggle with her momma. If this fever doesn’t break tomorrow I may have to take her to the Doctor. Even with her sickness though she seemed to enjoy her new presents (especially the keyboard and shopping cart and purse).
When J came downstairs he saw the stockings sitting out by the fireplace and gasped and said “Santa DID come!!! LOOK! new presents!!!” This was the first year he really seemed to understand Christmas and it was such a joy to watch. When he opened his stocking he was so excited to get some candy “Look mom! Look Dad Santa brought me Candy!!”
“SANTA BROUGHT ME A MONSTER TRUCK!!!! LOOK LOOK!!!!”
“SANTA BROUGHT ME A GARBAGE TRUCK TOO?!?! WOW!!”
M briefly left my lap to investigate her new purse…but found it hard to wait for it to be opened. (WHY do they make toys SO hard to get into???)
She had a little bit of fun pushing her shopping cart around before she needed more cuddles
This was how most of Christmas was spent for Miss M.
At Grandma’s House!
Mr. J had so much fun making buns with Grandma
CHOCOLATE MILK MUSTACHE!
M was crying for me, but I was too busy taking photos…hence hubby’s death glare. I deserved that one.
M is starting a one woman band
Exhausted me finally succumbs to pulling out the tula for easier snuggles.
